-Shelby Polansky- Ms. Polansky, a graduate of Klein Oak HS, received her bachelor's at Sam Houston State University majoring in Education, with minors in Early Childhood and Dance and an Extension in English and Reading Specialization. Shelby taught 5th grade for 2 years and then moved to high school to teach dance and be a director at Spring High School for 8 years. She then returned to Klein Oak to become the director of her high school dance team and work with the growing dance program. Shelby has worked with numerous dance studios and little league dance teams in the area. |
-Kelsey Little-
Ms. Little is a graduate of Texas Christian University where she received her Bachelor’s in Secondary Social Studies Education. She grew up dancing competitively then served as a 3-year captain for her dance team at Abilene Cooper High School. After graduating high school, Kelsey attended Kilgore College where she was a Rangerette from 2017-2019, serving as a Lieutenant her sophomore year and as a member of the Kilgore College Rangerette Swingsters and Industry Dance Company. While attending Kilgore College as a Rangerette, Kelsey performed in Switzerland, Italy, and New York City for the opener of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as other performances like the AT&T Cotton Bowl classic pregame and halftime show and a Houston Texans halftime show. Kelsey has 5 years of experience teaching dance at various studios, and is now at The Dance Vault in The Woodlands as a coach for their All Star team. Kelsey currently works for Encore Creative Productions, where she travels around Texas choreographing for dance teams. Kelsey is also a part of Spirit of America Staff that travels to New York City each Thanksgiving to assist high school dancers from around the United States to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Kelsey is thrilled to get to love on more dancers and share her knowledge of dance with Klein Oak! |

Mrs. Curry has been teaching and choreographing for numerous studios and schools since 1988. She attended Sam Houston State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and later received her Master of Education with emphasis in Secondary Dance from SHSU. Throughout her career, Mrs. Curry has presented numerous workshops on choreograph, curriculum and pedagogy as well as serving committees regarding dance certification, program evaluation and curriculum development throughout the state of Texas. Mrs. Curry is currently teaching Dance in another two-track program at KOHS where she created the KO Dance Company, Oak Break Krew, Partners in Dance program (pairing special need dancers with mentors) and developed the second in the state of Texas International Baccalaureate Dance program. She continues to proudly assist Mrs. Polansky with the KO Strutters Dance Team teaching summer technique classes and managing community service requirements, as well as other “behind the scenes” needs.
